AN ENGLAND rugby player will open a new branch of a trade supplies shop on Friday.

Courtney Lawes, who also plays for Northampton Saints, will be in Didcot's new Toolstation branch to meet traders and sign autographs from 1pm until 2pm.

The new store at Trident Business Park in Basil Hill Road, has created seven new jobs and will offer products including essentials such as screws, cables, sealants, plumbing fittings and power tools.

It is the latest in the brand's network of more than 300 branches across the country.

The store will be open seven days a week, from 7am – 7pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm Sundays.

Customers can get 10 per cent off everything in store until Sunday.

Manager Matt Grierson said: "We’re looking forward to meeting new customers from the area at our opening event and showing them what Toolstation has to offer."
