A FAMILIAR face will attempt to overcome his 'tone deafness' to sing live on national television.

Matt Vaughan, a former DJ at Bowlplex near the Kassam Stadium, will star in the ITV show Change Your Tune this Sunday.

The show, created by Twofour, sees 'terrible singers' transformed into pros before performing in front of a live studio audience.

This audience will score each performance and the level of improvement, ultimately deciding who has 'changed their tune' the most with each week the winning contestant winning £10,000.

Until last year Mr Vaughan was known for entertaining children at their birthday parties as well as spinning the tunes in the evening for adults.

He is also a blogger and vlogger detailing his challenge to lose weight.

He said “I have always wanted to be able to sing, but have never found the time, with having a 20 month old, working full time and vlogging takes up majority of my waking hours, so this was the perfect opportunity to have coaching from some of the industry’s best singing teachers."

Change Your Tune is hosted by Baz Ashmawy, the former host of Sky show 50 Ways to Kill your Mammy.
