THE Hare in West Oxfordshire has been chosen as the county's best pub and will compete to be crowned the finest pub and bar in the country.
The Milton-under-Wychwood pub has been named as Oxfordshire's winner in the National Pub and Bar Awards.
The 94 county winners were revealed yesterday and The Hare will now face off against the rest for National Pub and Bar of the Year accolade.
It only reopened in 2016 after being derelict for six years but its village setting, mix of food and drink and Friday 5pm champagne happy hour has made it popular.
The winner will be announced on May 23.
