THOUGH famed for its historic golden spires, Oxford's changing skyline is also marked by the glass and chrome of modern buildings.
It seems a fitting backdrop, then, for this week's Oxford Mail Camera Club theme.
Our snappers have been challenged to send in photos representing 'old and new', and some have been inspired by city landmarks.
Club member Steve Clarke submitted this photo from inside the Ashmolean Museum, where old artefacts mingle with acclaimed modern architecture.
Here statues can be seen standing next to the cascading staircase, which formed part of a multi-million pound redevelopment at the centuries-old museum in 2009.
A double-page spread of our photographers' best images will feature in Friday's paper, with the winner announced in Saturday's Oxford Mail.
