A GROUP setting up a new educational 'children's allotment' in Oxford will hold their first work party tomorrow.
Adults and children will meet in Florence Park from 12pm to 4pm to start clearing brambles on their site ready for spring planting.
The party will start with a 'bring-and-share lunch' at Florence Park Bandstand with fun and games, followed by some 'heavy duty bramble clearance' at the East Ward allotment on Cricket Road from 1pm to 4pm.
Organisers will bring some tools but volunteers are invited to bring anything they can that might be useful.
The group aims to create an 'inclusive outdoor education space' for the community.
