VISITORS to Oxford Castle will be able to have an eggstraordinarily good time with a special Easter event which kicks off later this month.

Families will be able to become master chocolatiers at the castle in workshops that will run over the Easter bank holiday.

There they will be given the opportunity to ice and decorate their very own Easter egg which can then be taken home to sample when the time is right.

The workshops will be held at the castle's Key Learning Centre, where there will be treats, crafts and other Easter fun to take part in.

Families will be able to take advantage of the one-hour slots which will run from 11am until 3pm.

They will be held on March 30, March 31 and April 1.

The fun will cost £7 per Easter egg.

It is just one of a number of exciting events taking place at the castle.

There will still be chance to take in the castle's regular 40-minute guided tours. They will continue to run every day of the Easter break.

Alternatively, visitors will be able to take a short trip up the castle's mound for impressive views across Oxford – which is free to do with a ticket to the castle. In addition to that, the RSPCA will be visiting over the bank holiday weekend to show some of the work the organisation does.
