PUPILS at Oxford High School worked with youngsters from a local primary to learn more about science week.
The independent day school for girls in Belbroughton Road hosted activities for British Science Week, which runs until Sunday.
Oxford High School welcomed pupils from St Nicholas Primary School in Marston yesterday, including Lexie Way, nine, to take part in an experiment.
Year 5 pupils from the primary school were asked to extract cheek cells from their mouths and stain them on a slide with blue dye, before viewing them with a microscope.
The experiment was part of the microscopic world theme run by Oxford High School’s sixth form.
British Science Week, run by the British Science Association is a 10-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, featuring entertaining and engaging events and activities across the UK for people of all ages.
British Science Week provides a platform to support teachers and science communicators.
