GRAFFITI protesting a controversial development has yet again been sprayed onto boarding in Botley.

It is the fourth time in just a couple of months that the West Way shopping centre – now mostly shut up and covered by wooden boards – has been targeted by vandals.

Last month, a person contacted the Oxford Mail to confirm they were responsible for all of the graffiti at the shopping centre until then. ‘Waldo Skipsey’ claimed they had been forced to act because Botley had been ‘destroyed’.

It is yet unknown whether they are responsible for the latest messages, one of which claims that the heart of Botley had been 'sacrificed for profit'.

Earlier this year the Botley Development Company published its strategy for the £100m project which will revamp the area, bringing new shops, a hotel and student accommodation.
