ORGANISERS of Oxford's annual Rabbit Hole music festival have appealed for funding help.

The group have said they urgently need major corporate sponsorship to cover the costs of this year's event and 'keep ticket prices low'.

In a post on Facebook, festival founder and musician Ed Reckitt wrote: "Hello Oxford Rabbit Hole lovers - we need your help!

"We’re very keen to hold Oxford Rabbit Hole Festival 2018 but there is one BIG obstacle: We need sponsorship!

"The reason we have been able to keep the ticket price so low is because of sponsorship from local businesses who want to support community events such as RHF in their city of Oxford. Can you help? Would your employer like to be involved? Can you help us in other ways? Can you spread the word?

"RHF 2018 won’t take place without your help and support - We literally can’t do it without you."

Mr Reckitt promised that corporate sponsors would benefit from 'raising their public profile' but added: "It’s also about doing something good for your community and the city in which you live.

"Sadly, events such as Rabbit Hole Festival die without help and support."

Mr Reckitt held the first festival as a private garden party in 2014, moving it to a free festival at The General Eliott pub in South Hinksey the following year and then a ticketed event at the Victoria Arms pub in Old Marston for the past two years.
