CUPCAKES were hand delivered to hard-working staff at Helen & Douglas House to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day.

On Saturday, Gemma Deacon from developer Bloor Homes stopped by with the sweet treats as a way to thank those who work at the East Oxford hospice, which looks after around 250 patients from across Oxfordshire and the south east,

Vanessa Macnee, sales director for Bloor Homes South Midlands, said : “When we began work on our nearby developments in Drayton, Thame and Chinnor we quickly became aware of Helen & Douglas House and the fantastic support which its staff provide for patients and their families in the local area.

“As a family owned developer, we are not only committed to building quality homes but also to supporting important causes within the surrounding community.

“On Random Acts of Kindness Day we therefore wanted to make a small gesture to recognise the efforts of all the staff at Helen &Douglas House – we hope that the cupcakes came as a nice surprise and that they have been enjoyed by all.”
