LEADERS of an Oxford school are 'delighted' after students secured some of Oxfordshire's best GCSE and A-Level results.
d'Overbroeck's in North Oxford topped the county's league table for Attainment 8 scores - a key measure of students' GCSE results across eight core subjects.
The average Attainment 8 score at Oxfordshire schools was 47.6, but the private school in Banbury Road well-exceeded this with 62.
It also gained the highest progress score for A-Levels, tied at the top with UTC Oxfordshire.
The school's principal Emma-Kate Henry said: "We are delighted that the academically rigorous yet distinctive education we provide enables our students to thrive.
"It is a true reflection of the dedication and hard work of students and excellent teachers.
"Often statistics don't really tell the whole story but here I am very proud we can celebrate being well above average.
"This is a great achievement as it acknowledges the efforts of individuals and their unique efforts."
Results were officially confirmed by the Government last week.
