OXFORD Bus Company has won the 'Golden Spanner' award after its vehicles and engineers were inspected.
The firm won the National Express award after inspectors found the buses had 'exceptional standards' and minimal break downs.
The engineering audit was carried out by National Express which randomly inspects vehicles.
Oxford Bus Company runs eight daily services around Oxford as well as services to High Wycombe, Stansted Airport and Luton Airport.
The firm said its buses were maintained at its in-house engineering department in Cowley to ensure they are 'safe, comfortable and reliable.
