Flood alerts are in place across the county as residents are told to be prepared.
West Oxfordshire has been particularly badly hit as cars struggled through deep water on the A4095 in Long Hanborough last night.
Parts of North Leigh were also flooded and in North Oxfordshire drivers also faced surface water difficulties near Islip on Middle Street.
Despite some floodwaters having receded the Environment Agency flood alerts say river levels are continuing to rise.
A number of alerts were put in place this morning including the River Ray around Islip, Letcombe Brook at Wantage and Grove, and the River Ock from Watchfield to Abingdon.
There are also warnings in place for the River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington and the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock.
#A4095 in Long Hanborough is just about passable at the bridge but it does mean traffic towards the station is having to go on the other side of the road to avoid the deeper flood water.

In each case, the Environment Agency says flooding of low lying land and roads is possible, but the alert level is not currently expected to affect properties.
