LAYLA Moran has defended raising concerns over whether the Oxford to Cambridge expressway could result in hundreds of Botley homes being bulldozed.
County council leader Ian Hudspeth called it ‘premature’ to talk about the £3.5bn project before a final route had been chosen.
Responding on Twitter the MP for Oxford West and Abingdon said: “It’s the residents who raise these questions with me first. Then I raise them. If they have questions, it’s not premature to ask them.”
Government transport minister Jesse Norman accepted Ms Moran’s invitation to visit Botley in the House of Commons on Thursday.
