ANYONE hoping to count this flock would have had their work cut out.
Almost 1,000 sheep from Ducklington Farm near Witney were shepherded through West Oxfordshire on Thursday.
They were walked from the outskirts of Fyfield through the village and to the other side just before hitting the A420.
With a team of family, local farm workers and home owners protecting their gardens they smoothly moved more than 900 sheep through to fresh pasture.
Helen Strainge, who was among them, said: “The quiet village road was flooded with sheep and with the warm winter sun beaming it was a sight to be seen.
“Many were out taking photos and enjoying a rural sight that’s not seen so often nowadays.”
