A PAEDOPHILE has been warned he could face a jail term after he was caught with indecent images of children for a second time.

Anthony Edwards, of Aston Road, Ducklington, was set to stand trial for two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order, three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child.

In a last minute change of heart the 58-year old admitted all charges at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

The court heard that Edwards had first been handed a sexual harm prevention order on October 16, 2014.

He then breached the order between January 5, 2016, and September 1, 2016, by removing security software installed on his laptop, as well as removing internet browsing history.

Edwards also admitted making nine category A images, 26 category B, and 214 category C images of children, as well as possessing a further three prohibited images.

Judge Andrew Goymer said: “All sentencing options remain open and a sentence of immediate imprisonment cannot be ruled out.

“It is the second time he has found himself committing offences involving indecent images of children and he has clearly breached his order on a number of regards so he should not leave court with the idea he is not at risk of a prison sentence.”

He will be sentenced at the same court on February 15, after a pre-sentence report is prepared.
