A FORECASTER has warned people in Oxfordshire to be wary of dangerously strong winds that are set to batter the county later this week.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of wind for the county between 9pm on Wednesday and 1pm on Thursday.
Journeys by rail and road could be affected as a result of the weather.
Power cuts may occur and mobile phone coverage might be affected, the met Office says.
During Wednesday night and into Thursday there is the potential for gusts of 60-70 mph and a small chance of winds reaching 80 mph in places.
Flying debris 'could cause injury and danger to life', as well as damage to buildings, with the warning area covering much of the country.
