A HEADTEACHER at the helm of a Wallingford school said he is 'delighted' by its recent Ofsted success.

Fir Tree Junior School has been rated 'good' by the education watchdog, as reported in the Oxford Mail on Monday.

Nilofer Khan, headteacher at the 217-pupil school said: "We [staff] are delighted and very pleased that our dedication and commitment to the education and welfare of our children has been recognised."

Key points of praise in the report were about 'outstanding' work to support pupils' welfare and development, and a 'highly-inclusive' environment.
