THE UK'S most popular pet names from last year have been revealed, as well as some of the more unusual offerings from pet owners.
The list has been produced by animal welfare charity Bluecross, which has shops in Summertown, Kidlington and Witney, as well as veterinary surgeries across the county and a rehoming centre in Burford.
It features the top 20 names of the male and female dogs and cats the charity has cared for in their rehoming centres during 2017.
Bella was first among female canines, while Luna was the most popular name for female felines.
Charlie, meanwhile, was the most popular name for both male dogs and cats.
The charity also shared some of the unique names they have came across over the past 12 months.
These include a female dog called Ali McBeagle - presumably a Beagle, a male cat named Hokey Cokey and a male dog called Mr Bumblebee.
