A TEENAGER tucked into tea and scones with a television actress after wining a raffle.

Elsie Cheetham, aged 13, joined Emily Burnett for sandwiches and cakes at Boswells in Oxford yesterday.

Afternoon tea with the actress, who stars in BBC children's drama The Dumping Ground, was a prize in a raffle organised by charity Home from Home.

The Oxford organisation supports refugees struggling to find or fund a home, offering advice as well as financial aid to help with rent deposits.

Sue Snelders, who founded the charity, said: "Lots of local businesses provided lovely prizes, it raised nearly £200.

"Emily was lovely, she let Elsie FaceTime another girl in the show and they had a chat.

"It was really touching."

The actress does not live in Oxford but is currently playing Smart Simone in Jack in the Beanstalk, which runs at Oxford Playhouse until Sunday.
