SINCE its opening, the Westgate Centre has shown time and time again that it invokes the history, heritage and charm of Oxford.

Westgate Oxford Alliance has really tried to encapsulate the spirit of Oxford and what it means to live here.

Its Alice in Wonderland theme on the opening day was inspired – how did they know that Lewis Carroll’s creation and the ‘re-imagined rabbit hole’ would speak directly to the thousands who live in the city?

And the mortarboards in the John Lewis cafe – again, something everyone can relate to.

However, there is one glaring oversight. They’ve only gone and spelled the name of the Ashmolean Museum wrong.

Now, we aren’t ones to point fingers – people who live in glass houses and all that – but we hope they can get it corrected. The Ashmolean collection has been around since the 17th century after all.
