A CHARGE for an Oxford car park will rocket by 181 per cent if budget plans are passed.
Earlier this month Oxford City Council said car parking charges would increase as part of its 2018/19 budget.
But one pricey change will see a ticket for between four and six hours at Union Street car park on Cowley Road cost £13.50. Currently it costs £4.80.
The charge seeks to bring it in line with other similar car parks around the city. For example, at Headington car park a four to six hour stay is now £13.50. That is set to rise to £15 next year when the budget is passed.
