SCIENTISTS at the Oxford Internet Institute have said current guidelines on how long children can look at screens are too strict.
It is currently suggested that youngsters youngsters only spend between one and two hours a day in front of a screen.
However, research showed there was no negative impact in exceeding this.
Dr Andrew Pryzbylski, of the institute, said: ‘Taken together, our findings suggest there is little or no support for the theory that digital screen use, on its own, is bad for young children’s psychological wellbeing.
