OXFORD City Council’s Customer Service Centre at Templars Square will close permanently next week.
Its final day in operation will be Friday, December 22.
The council said it will shut it because the number of visitors has been in ‘steady decline’.
It added the Government’s decision to extend Universal Credit, meaning new housing benefit claimants will need to claim it through the Department for Work and Pensions’ online service, was another reason for its closure.
