CHILDREN and school staff braved icy weather to serenade Westgate Centre shoppers.
Pupils and employees at St Barnabas’ CE Primary School in Oxford gathered in the city centre on Tuesday, to raise money for the homeless.
Though scores of other schools across the county were shut due to ice, pupils powered through to sing carols.
As they performed to passersby, volunteers from Oxford Poverty Action Trust (OxPAT) collected £251.18.
The Jericho primary school thanked participants as well as shoppers and staff at Westgate for their support.
On Tuesday members of Appleton Singers will also raise money for OxPAT, singing at Oxford railway station at 6.30pm.
