HARRY Monger bagged a

four-timer in Letcombe’s stunning 9-2 win at New College Swindon.

It was an emphatic way to end a poor run of form and the visitors were out of sight by half-time in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West clash.

Monger hit a first-half hat-trick, while Danny Elvestad and the impressive Jack Heggie were also on target.

Shemar Pettet’s own goal made it 5-1 at the break, but Letcombe kept pushing in the second half.

Monger added another, while Adam Bruce (2) and Ben Hummel also got in on the act, before Biag Mazzotta’s late consolation.

The big victory moved Letcombe up to fifth in the table.

Wantage Town stretched their Premier Division unbeaten run to six games with a 3-1 win at Brackley Town Saints.

Several good chances went begging before Jim Glover opened the scoring in first-half

stoppage-time.

Steve Robertson’s double after the break, sandwiching Levi Steele’s strike, made the points safe to keep Wantage within range of second place.
