BANBURY MAGISTRATES'

DAVID HATTON, 35, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing four bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey valued at £115 from Sainsburys, Oxford Road, Banbury, on October 25 as well as committing the offence while subject to a conditional discharge imposed October 4 for theft. He was jailed for four weeks suspended for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85.

PAUL WYETH, 36, of The Causeway, Bicester, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements by being out of contact since October 16. He was fined £100.

JAMES COCKILL, 29, of Barry Avenue, Abingdon, admitted assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage by damaging two mirrors, a mattress, a desk and two TVs valued at £1,000 as well as possessing a Stanley knife at Bicester on October 8. He was jailed for a total of 16 weeks and must pay compensation totalling £1,500.

MATTHEW ELKINGTON, 37, of Samuelson Court, Banbury, admitted assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage by destroying a TV and a window valued at £80 at Bretch Hill, Banbury, on September 22. He was jailed for a total of 17 weeks and must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

PAUL HUTCHINGS, 36, of Home Close, Carterton, admitted entering a property at Carterton as a trespasser and stealing a cabinet containing 50 zippo lighters valued at £1,500. He was made subject to a community order to include an electronic curfew and must pay compensation of £1,680.

ANDREW TYRRELL, 57, of Woodfield, Banbury, admitted two counts of fraud by failing to disclose to Cherwell District Council a change of circumstances between April 14 2014 and July 5 2015 and to the Department for Work and Pensions between April 10 2014 and July 1 2015. He was jailed for 10 weeks suspended for 12 months and made subject to a community order to include an electronic curfew, a drug rehabilitation requirement for six months and a rehabilitation activity requirement for five days. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £120.

FLORIAN CRETU, 33, of Thames Avenue, Bicester, admitted possession of cannabis on October 29 at Bicester. He was fined £133 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

ROBERT WILLIAMS, 45, of Station Road, Kingham admitted driving while unfit through drink at Kingham on October 27. He was jailed for six weeks suspended for 12 months and made subject to a community order to include 200 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £15 and court costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for 30 months.

MATTHEW MOONEY, 29, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing food and alcohol valued at £76.85 from Sainsburys, Oxford Road, Banbury, on March 15 as well as failing to surrender to custody on March 31. He was fined £120 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES'

MARIGKLEN MERA, 24, Maidcroft Road, was convicted of using a vehicle without insurance in Moorbank, Oxford on May 7. He was disqualified from holding a licence for six months and fined £325. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.

THOMAS HARDING-EDGAR, 31, of Bailey Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Bailey Road, Oxford on November 3. He was conditionally discharged for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £40.

JANET STUBBINGS, 63, of Gordon Close, Oxford admitted drink driving in Gordon Close, Oxford on October 21. Had 118 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. She was disqualified from driving for 24 months and fined £1461. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £146 and court costs of £85.

RICHARD CAPEL, 46, of The Moors, Kidlington admitted using threatening abusive words or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at Argos in New Inn Hall Street, Oxford on November 3. He was fined £50 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30

LEWIS HEAVER, 24, of Cowley Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following his release from prison on July 28, August 4 and August 24. He was fined £80 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30.

PETER BISSON, 54, of Amory Close, Oxford admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Speedwell Street, Oxford on November 5. He was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

ELLIS FORBES, 19, Of Barratts Way, Sutton Courtenay admitted possessing cocaine and cannabis in Botley Road, Oxford on July 27. He was fined £80 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

EMMA HOLIFIELD, 38, of Eastfield Road, Witney admitted failing to notify West Oxfordshire District Council of a change of circumstances which she knew would affect her entitlement to housing benefit between August 25 2015 and February 7 2016. She also admitted failing to notify the same council of a change in circumstances which would affect her entitlement to jobseekers allowance between August 16 2014 and November 16 2014. A community order was made and she must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £85.

MAREK MAKOWSKI, 56, of Harebell Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving in Church Cowley Road, Oxford on October 21. Had 126 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. He was committed to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He was also disqualifed from driving for 30 months and must also pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85.
