SANTA'S elves could soon be out of a job...
For the past week, residents at Wantage Nursing Home have been getting very creative, making Christmas cards for a festive fayre there this Friday.
Staff will be also be getting in the spirit on Friday night from 7pm to 9pm, serving up mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate.
Stalls will be selling crafts and Christmas gifts and it's even rumoured that Old Saint Nick himself might make an appearance.
The home's activities assistant Wendy Pill said: "Our residents are really looking forward to welcoming new and familiar faces into our home.
"There is always a buzz around the home at Christmas, and the residents can’t wait to share their festive cheer and home-made cards with the community."
Wantage Nursing Home will also be hosting a Christmas carol concert on Sunday, December 17 from 3pm.
Elsewhere in Oxfordshire, Sanctuary Care’s Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home on Rutten Lane will be hosting its Christmas Fayre on Thursday, December 7, from 6pm to 8pm with fun and games, festive gift stalls and refreshments.
