THE inquest of a much-loved cyclist who died on a busy Oxford route will be held today.

Claudia Comberti was 31 when she died after an accident on Botley Road on May 9.

An environmental social scientist, Ms Comberti was completing a DPhil at Trinity College, Oxford when she died.

She had been a keen member of the Broken Spoke bike co-operative.

Hundreds of her friends took to the city's Broad Street three days after she died for a vigil. Cyclists rode to celebrate her memory wearing bright clothes as a tribute to her.

Her inquest will be held at Oxford Coroner's Court at County Hall, New Road from 10am.

Oxford University student Claudia Comberti was killed on Tuesday after being hit by a 4B bus at the junction with McDonald’s in Botley Road, Oxford.

Cyclists rode through the city centreat 7pm tonight to celebrate her memory. They were asked to wear bright clothes for the event by organisers as a tribute to the vibrant Ms Comberti.
