CAMPAIGNERS in Chipping Norton called on West Oxfordshire District Council to build more council housing.
On Saturday a group joined the Labour Party's Councillor Geoff Saul to add support to a petition to use some of its £12m reserves to build more housing. It has been signed by 292 people.
Mr Saul said: "With some spending months in unsuitable accommodation, families separated by a lack of homes for the next generation and a spiralling rental market, we are calling on the council to free up some of its reserves to build housing."
