A MOTORCYCLIST suffered shoulder, arm and neck injuries after a crash in Oxford this morning.

A motorbike and car crashed in Woodstock Road in Summertown at about 8.10am, blocking the road and causing a temporary closure.

It happened near Frenchay Road and traffic was severe for most of rush hour, but has since cleared.

David Gallagher, spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service, said a rider, who was 'approximately 35-years-old', was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

He said the man's injuries were not life-threatening.

The road is now reopen.
