A 'POLICE incident' shut a road in Blackbird Leys this morning.
Buses had to be rerouted whilst Balfour Road in the estate was closed for approximately 45 minutes at 10am.
Stagecoach tweeted about a diversion due to an incident in Balfour Road, which caused a short closure.
SERVICE UPDATE: Due to a police incident we are currently unable to serve Balfour Road, Blackbird Leys. The 1 will divert via Cuddesdon Way.

SERVICE UPDATE: Balfour Road has now reopened after the earlier incident. The 1 service is back on normal route.

The road reopened later in the morning.
Workers at several shops in the road reported seeing the police helicopter hovering, but said they had not heard any more.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for details.
