ELLIE Broome was on great form for Kidlington & Gosford in a sprint meet at Gloucester.

Broome picked up two golds in the 100m individual medley and 50m backstroke, two silver (50m breaststroke and medley relay) and a bronze (50m butterfly).

Clubmate Magnus Paulini-Torrance, ten, collected his competitive medal when coming third in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 48.34secs.

Mark Ward won the 50m freestyle open age in a time of 25.73secs, while there were also medals for Lucy McGrath, Daniel Andrew and Josh Barnes.

l BICESTER Blue Fins excelled at a development meet in Milton Keynes.

The 24-strong team, aged from nine to 13, recorded more than 90 personal bests.

Georgia Usher, a new member of Blue Fins’ performance squad, fared best, achieving four county accepted times in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events, as well as the 200m backstroke.

In the boys event, Joshua Best smashed his previous best in seven of his 13-year-old races, as did Tim Walker in the age 12 category.

William Jones achieved seven 11-year-old new marks.
