ONE of the country's most popular chefs is preparing to reveal a few trade secrets for fans of his food.

Yotam Ottolenghi arrives in Oxford tomorrow to discuss his latest book Sweet with the city's own celebrity chef Sophie Grigson.

The session at St Aldate's Church at 7pm, is organised by Waterstones bookshop, and also feature's the book's and co-author Helen Goh.

The Jerusalem-born chef chose Oxford to launch his previous cookery book NOPI, and this summer cooked for festival-goers at the Wilderness festival at Cornbury Park, near Charlbury.

He said he was looking forward to meeting fans of his books, adding: "Wherever I go people want to discuss the intricacies of the recipes with me and have proper food-driven conversations which is wonderful.

“I am so surprised every time someone comes up to me and says I have changed the way they eat, and I’m over the moon about that. It’s hard to take on board.

“But food is such a joyful and life affirming experience and if I’ve contributed to that by opening people's minds and larders, then, all the better.”
