A FALLEN tree has been cleared from a key junction in central Oxford.
The bottom of Walton Street was shut both ways from about 5pm yesterday, and was cordoned off with tape.
A tree surgeon was sent out to clear the branch, which fell into the road outside Worcester College.
The road was closed between the Worcester Street and Worcester Place junctions, and Thames Valley Police officers were directing traffic.
Congestion was slow on neighbouring Beaumont Street but drivers were able to pass.
Walton Street had reopened by 7.30pm.
