IT is just over a month from the official opening of the much anticipated new Westgate Shopping Centre and workers were spotted this weekend continuing constuction of the Bonn Square facade.
The £440m development is set to officially open to the public on October 24.
Workers have been on site daily putting the finishing touches to the major new development.
Stores already announced to take their place at the centre include Ted Baker and Calvin Klein, H&M, Cath Kidston and Russell & Bromley.
There will also be a ground-floor restaurant space called Westgate Social including eateries such as Mexican restaurant Benito’s Hat, Indian street food vendor Rola Wala and Shawa Lebanese Grill.
A rooftop garden area will also be installed including cocktail bar The Alchemist, cafe chain The Breakfast Club, Pizza Pilgrims and Venetian restaurant Polpo.
Nando's will also be in the Westgate along with a boutique cinema Curzon.
The number of shopping trips to Oxford is expected to increase from five million to an estimated 16 million after the centre opens.
One of the biggest attractions will be department store John Lewis, together with 100 new shops and 25 new restaurants.
