A CONVICT with links to Didcot has escaped from prison, prompting police to warn residents to be alert.
Michael Presley, 24, absconded from HMP Spring Hill in Aylesbury at about 9pm last night and is still on the run.
He had been serving a sentence for grievous bodily harm (GBH); inflicting someone with serious physical injury.
Investigating officer detective constable Bruce Wilson warned members of the public not to approach Presley and call 999 if they spot him, quoting reference 43170271401, or 101 in a non emergency.
He said: "Presley has links to Didcot so we would ask residents in and around the town to be particularly vigilant."
Presley is described as white, about 6ft 2ins, slim, with short brown hair and tattoos on his neck, arms, hands, back and legs.
