A POET and illustrator have joined forces to create a walking trial around their local village.
Poet Roger Phipps and local artist Linda Benton, who live in East Hagbourne, have produce an illustrated map and book which walkers can use to tour the village.
The new book will be formally launched at a free event in Hagbourne Village Hall on Sunday 17th September from 2pm.
The trail has 12 stone markers linking to pages in the book.
Mr Phipps has written poems inspired his regular walks around the footpaths with his late dog Buddy. Linda produced original artwork of the scenes to go with these poems.
The book will be purchasable at the community shop and pub.
