WITH less than 50 days until the opening of the Westgate shopping centre the John Lewis sign has been lifted into place.
Construction workers lifted the sign into place on Wednesday night as preparations continued inside ahead of the opening on October 24.
The 140,000 sq ft shop will the flagship store in the £440m centre, which will have more than 100 retailers.
Branch manager, Julie Blake, said: “We have now got less than 50 days to go until we and Westgate Oxford open our doors, and seeing this sign being lifted into place is the perfect start to the final countdown."
