GINO van Kessel was thrilled to score for the second home game running, but admitted he could have played better.
The 24-year-old netted from close range on 75 minutes, but was frustrated that Stefan Payne’s 83rd-minute equaliser denied him the winner.
It was van Kessel’s second goal in three games since signing a season-long loan from Slavia Prague.
But the forward, who led the attack in place of Wes Thomas on his first start for United, was less than pleased with his own display.
He said: “My performance was not that good.
“I am a different striker to Jon Obika and Wes (Thomas). I have a good body, but it’s not my quality to use my body.
“I’m more about using my pace and going behind the defenders.
“One of them was a really tough guy, who was jumping in my neck and everything – which you can do in England if the ref is not whistling.
“It was a hard game for me, but I’m happy I could be there to score.”
