COMMUTERS could actually save money by moving out of Oxford and into London, it has been revealed.
House prices and rail fares have risen so much in recent years that living in transport zone four of the capital would save commuters more than £2,500 compared to living in Oxford.
The analysis, carried out by The Daily Telegraph, took into account average monthly mortgage payments and rail fares.
It costs £4,920 for an annual season ticket between the cities and Oxford’s average house price has risen above £450,000.
