A CAMPAIGN to reduce noise pollution on the A34 has been taken to Parliament.

Wolvercote residents have long complained of high levels of noise and disturbance from the A34, with 700 signing a petition in 2015 urging the city and county councils to back plans to install noise barriers.

MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, Layla Moran, raised the issue in Parliament before it went into recess, asking the Transport Secretary Chris Grayling to monitor noise levels affecting residents between the Peartree flyover and Botley junction. A formal response is expected next month.
