NEW research into charitable donations has seen Oxford branded the UK's most generous city.
Hyundai found the city's residents donate £405.96 through direct debit and £55 sponsoring friends and family members, more than any other city, including London, Cardiff and Birmingham.
The research also reveals that the average UK citizen will give nearly £30,000 to charity over the course of their lifetime.
The survey, conducted by Hyundai Motor UK, was conducted using 2,800 people across 28 cities.
