Abingdon town centre
POLICE in Abingdon are cracking down on shoplifting and anti-social behaviour in the town centre thanks to a new digital CCTV system.
The scheme links more than 30 pubs, shops and other businesses together, as well as the Vale of White Horse District Council CCTV operators and members of the Neighbourhood Policing team.
It was installed earlier this month to allow premises to alert each other and quicken response times from police.
