A FIFTEEN-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a gang of men in their 40s while sitting outside Sainsbury's.
The schoolgirl was sat on the steps outside the store in Chipping Norton Market Place at about 9.45pm on Saturday, August 5, when she said she was approached by the four or five drunk men, all in their 40s.
One of the men, who she said was tall, with short greying hair and wearing a black zipped-up jacket and dark blue jeans, then walked up and kneed her in the back.
A second man, also with grey hair and wearing a plain black top, jeans and white trainers, then touched her inappropriately over her clothes.
The girl said all the other men in the group were white and aged in their forties, and one had a 'large build' with a goatee beard.
Investigating officer PC Zoe Shuttleworth said: "We are conducting a detailed investigation in order to find these offenders.
"I would appeal to anyone who believes they have any information about the incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, to please contact police immediately. The easiest way to get in touch is by calling 101 or visiting your nearest police station and quoting the reference number for this investigation which is 43170232167."
