GARDEN centre customers have helped raise more than £3,000 for poorly children through its 5p bag charge.

Colleagues and customers at Notcutts Garden Centre in Nuneham Courtenay raised the funds for Helen and Douglas House hospice.

Alongside the 5p plastic bag charge money was also raised by staff through a number of fundraisers in store.

Notcutts centre manager Jonathan Tew said: “Helen & Douglas House is a fantastic local charity which Notcutts Oxford has supported for many years.

“We will continue to do our bit to support the truly life-changing work they carry out in our community.”
