TWO sets of engineering works were taking place in Frideswide Square yesterday.
Engineers from SGN were in front of the shopping parade this morning after being called over a suspected gas leak.
Spokeswoman Lynne Edwardson said: “A member of the public had done the right thing and called the National Gas Emergency Service. Our engineers attended quickly and a permanent repair has been made.”
Other roadworks were taking place as part of utilities going to the former Glee Club in Hythe Bridge Street, due to finish next week.
