PLANS to convert a former city nightclub into a university ‘entrepreneurial hub’ have been lodged with Oxford City Council.
Nuffield College wants to transform the former Wahoo and Glee Club venue in Hythe Bridge Street into an Entrepreneurship Centre for students.
In July 2015, a multi-million-pound deal was struck between Nuffield College and Christ Church to transform the area of Frideswide Square.
The nightclub and comedy club next door both closed last year after Nuffield College issued them with their marching orders.
The venue will soon house approximately 50 students at any one time as well five members of staff.
It would be used by Oxford University students currently at Said Business School.
The hub at Said Business School has outgrown the accommodation available to it according to the plans.
