THE road has now cleared after an earlier crash was causing traffic to build up in Headington.

Two cars smashed into each other at the crossroads with London Road, Windmill Road and Old High Street.

Traffic was backed up in both directions, all the way back to the Headington roundabout.

Paramedics treated a man at the scene for chest pains.

South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said they were called to the crash at 10.27am.
