DRIVERS and bus passengers faced delays in and around Oxford city centre this morning due to Westgate roadworks.
Oxford Bus Company tweeted about gridlock caused by temporary lights on Thames Street that has forced some of its services to miss out stops.
Traffic was particularly bad on Abingdon Road, and affected traffic in Thames Street in both directions.
Due to roadworks on Thames Street, the traffic in and around the City Centre, especially on Abingdon Road is completely at a standstill.

As a result, 35 and 300 services will divert via Donnington Bridge and Iffley Road and our X3 services will terminate at Speedwell Street.

The works are expected to continue until May 1.
